HOW TO MAKE PERFECT MATCHA Maiden GREEN TEA using our Chasen

  • Put 1/2 tsp matcha into a cup or a bowl.
  • Add 100ml of hot water (use water that’s just under boiling temperature).
  • Whisk your matcha in a quick M or W motion until powder is blended and a layer of froth forms on top.
  • Fill up with hot water to make tea or add your choice of milk, heated or steamed to make a matcha latte. If you prefer it a little sweeter, you can add your favorite sweetener

CARE NOTES

  • We recommend soaking the whisk in warm water for 1-2 minutes before use. This will prevent breakage, as the whisk can be brittle when dry.
  • After a few uses, the middle of the whisk will open
  • Hand wash after use and keep dry. Do not use soap
  • Do not use excessive force when whisking to prevent breaking
  • Handwash only.

 

Make The Perfect Matcha Latte

Step 1. Add a generous 1/2 teaspoon (or 1 teaspoon if you prefer a stronger taste) of organic matcha powder to a dash of warm but not boiling water.

Step 2. Stir well and use the back of a spoon to dissolve the powder into a matcha syrup or paste. If using a bamboo whisk, whisk the matcha in a W shape until frothy.

Step 3. Pour in 200ml of your preferred milk (coconut or almond milk is the most popular).

Step 4. Portable frother: If you have a frother at home, you can follow the steps above.

Stovetop/Microwave: If you don’t have a frother at home, you can heat your milk on a stovetop or in the microwave and then pour it in with the matcha syrup, stirring well.

Blender: If you want to create a frothy effect but don’t have a milk frother, one trick is to add all the ingredients to a blender to create a beautiful frothy effect.

Step 5. Optional: Add your sweetener of choice (coconut nectar is our favorite)

  2. Add a dash (around 50 ml) of warm, but not boiling, water.
  3. Stir well to dissolve the matcha into a smooth paste using a whisk, fork, or spoon.
  4. Pour in the remaining 150 ml of hot water and whisk or stir until fully combined.

Note:
Add a bit of sweetener if you like
